Dear Families,
It was another great week here at Gildersleeve! This week, I wanted to share a little bit about one of the ways we are supporting all of our students through WINN groups.
WINN stands for “What I Need Now.” Each grade level has a dedicated WINN block three times a week for 30 minutes. During this time, students may remain in their classroom or move to another classroom based on what they need at that particular time.
Students may receive additional support in reading or math, work with our speech and language pathologist or special education teachers, or participate in enrichment activities. Groups are fluid and change based on student needs, allowing us to provide targeted support and enrichment throughout the year.
Ask your child to tell you about what they are working on during WINN! Have a wonderful weekend!
